Care does not end when you leave the consultation
A procedure, the insertion of a contraceptive or the start of treatment may require subsequent checks. Follow-up allows us to check your progress, identify complications, adjust recommendations and ensure that you have support if questions arise.
A plan adapted to each process
Not all people need the same reviews. The team will explain to you whether the follow-up will be in person, by telephone or through specific tests, when it should be done and what its objective is. We avoid both unnecessary controls and lack of surveillance when it is important.
Clear information for home
Before you leave you will receive understandable guidelines on medication, activity, hygiene, bleeding, discomfort and recovery where applicable. You will also know which symptoms are to be expected and which require contacting the centre or going to the emergency room.
Contraceptive follow-up
After starting the pill, inserting an IUD or implant, we can assess adaptation, cycle changes and any effects that concern you. If the method no longer fits you, we will review alternatives without judging or minimizing your discomfort.
After a termination of pregnancy
The subsequent control allows the recovery to be assessed and confirm that the process has ended. Depending on the method, it may include consultation, ultrasound, analysis or other forms of follow-up. You can also receive contraceptive advice if you wish.
A coordinated team
Dr. Santiago Barambio leads a team of professionals who share criteria for care and continuity of care. When a case requires another specialty or additional support, we facilitate coordination to offer a complete response.
This information is general and does not replace an individual medical assessment. The team will explain the appropriate options for your case.
