After placement
During the first days, discomfort and changes in bleeding may appear. You will receive written instructions on care, how to check the threads if necessary and what symptoms require consultation. The IUD does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.
Review and withdrawal
We will indicate the appropriate follow-up depending on the device and your situation. The withdrawal is also carried out in consultation and is usually quick. You should consult if you cannot locate the threads when you usually notice them, severe pain, fever, worrying bleeding or suspicion of pregnancy appear.
